Sirens
By: Robin Tremble
From the CD:  Sirens

When I was a little boy I would get lonely
I could hear their gentle voices from afar
Wherever they were I went out to them
Somewhere in the darkness fairies are

You know they knew they name long before I came
Oh Momma there’s sirens in the river
I came alive in their arms; mesmerized in their charms
Oh Momma there’s sirens in the river
Sirens.  Sirens. Sirens calling me

Then I grew to a man, everything would change
I listened as their fading voices disappeared
but every night in my dreams I could hear them so it seemed
singing songs into the night that held my name

You know they knew they name long before I came
Oh Momma there’s sirens in the river
I came alive in their arms; mesmerized in their charms
Oh Momma there’s sirens in the river
Sirens.  Sirens. Sirens calling me

Now I’m just an old man waiting for my final day
I haven’t heard their voices since I was a boy
Wherever they are I will go out to them
Somewhere in the darkness fairies are

You know they knew they name long before I came
Oh Momma there’s sirens in the river
I came alive in their arms; mesmerized in their charms
Oh Momma there’s sirens in the river
Sirens.  Sirens. Sirens calling me
